re: Ann: Algae.Tec signs Carbon Capture Biofu... Sorry for wall of post everyone.
Sdaji since your the technical fan, what will this do to the charts? This has definitely bucked the down trend, but what's your opinion on how long it would have to sustain for it to form an uptrend or whatever... I'm clearly no chartist, for me fundamentals do better looking at the big-picture, but it's silly to ignore the charts.
Hopefully this news will be just the start of more deals and future expansion plans, however I agree with you, the SGS report is vital to prove the technicals and feasability, until then its more hearsay from the company and presumptions from deals. (MacGen, Lufthansa, etc)
The largest coal plant in Australia is a great start for the start of commercialisation. From there website Bayswater is producing up to 16000 GWHs/year, with a CO2 output of 916kg/MWh, which equates to about 15billion kg of CO2/year... seems like an outrageous number when each tonne of that is costing them $23 in taxes!
So if i'm thinking along the right lines their tax bill would be in the order of $345'000'000 per year for this plant alone, which they mentioned in the press release accounts for the greatest expenditure. Can see why they are eager to get this going.
