re: Ann: ALGAE.TEC SIGNS WASTE TO ENERGY AGRE... It's not all negative and that isn't my aim. The problem is they ( the company and some holders here) say we are on the cusp of big relevant news and this announcement appears. Scrubbing to get a gas to go into the magic black box container has to happen already depending on the license to pollute that the furnace holds in each country and algae are sensitive to many things and so is the pumps and injection gear to get it into the solution. Not rocket science but again possibly added costs for extra scrubbing and gas quality monitoring or concentrating.
Rubbish/ waste is a interesting sector as people pay to get rid of it so you are paid to accept your source fuel and then you get metals and recyclables etc out of it and a method of recycling heat and gas may add to the economy of the plant depending on the carbon tax situation. It all adds up bit by bit.. There are many waste plants and even landfill running generation capacity from methane gasses already so co-generation isn't new to these guys. You then also have heat for stock feed production from algae biproducts and heat for procession of algea to fuel , the transport infrastructure at waste plants that can transport that away .
I'd like to be a investor in this but only when they actually do a deal of substance and show that the process works and under what conditions and inputs it produces. That is what we are really waiting for - bit of reality that will only come from published independent testing results.
