Yeah, about the China sanctions, what I was trying to say was that all these global brands will not boycott China as they have boycotted Russia. Boycotts only work against small economies.

Now the Saudis have seen the writing on the wall and plan to reduce their investments in the US. Chances are the UAE will follow suit because the West is now throwing a tantrum against UAE (putting it in FATF grey list) for abstaining on the anti-Russia vote.

It will be interesting to see what effect these knee jerk sanctions have on global foreign investment climate. Do countries want to expose themselves to sanctions blackmail by the West?
