GXY is within a stone's throw of multi-year lows and you're saying "many short sellers got burnt". This forum never seizes to provide me with my daily laughs.
On a more serious note, short sellers don't always get it right. They get it wrong like longs do. However, you need to understand that short sellers have a thesis for selling a stock, just as longs have a thesis for buying. The thesis for shorting GXY in recent years has been bang on target. A flood of lithium has hit the market and demand has not come close to meeting the flood of supply. At least give short sellers credit for getting this right rather than people on this forum saying it's being manipulated, posters being paid to drop the share price, etc. Some humble pie from holders wouldn't go astray rather than being sour.
