re: Ann: Alkane to raise $107 million in new ... I'm going to participate fully in the entitlement offer, but at the moment I think I am inclined to vote against the conditional placement. I am very happy with ALK's prospects, but I am not especially interested at letting others in cheaply.

Just to clarify, it is my understanding that management can issue shares under the unconditional placement, but must seek shareholder approval for the 30 million shares under the conditional placement. If so, I am going to need to be convinced of the wisdom of issuing those 30 million shares to "professional and sophisticated investors."

I'm starting to dislike that term. I don't go in for business bashing, but let the sophisticates pay for ALK just like the rest of us.
