Sure. The reference was suggesting that large companies put out many announcements. The whole idea of the 'Friday night ann' is to conceal it amongst there other anns. When a company puts out 2 in 2 months, even when they are in days of each other, they are hard to hide.

"When have you ever seen a positive announcement come out on a Friday night….?"

If as you say it’s a great announcement then my thinking would be you would want to hit as many eyeballs as possible…..Friday night isn’t conducive to that.
