Actually I work in the automotive industry and battery production in Thailand and the U.S is almost as technically advanced as China.
When the next set of Euro emissions regulations fully kick in every major company in the world will be forced to reduce their emissions cap on their vehicle fleet which will (and has already begun to) increase EV sales massively.
Thailand is already a major production centre for the industry and Trump will expect the U.S to produce it’s own tech so I think we will be safe for a while.
