Agree, Southern Lad, the devil is in the detail, and there was very little detail given…and should be. I think we must presume both managements are actively working towards a positive ACCC outcome and this might just be another ploy for QAN to show they own AQZ totally in any event. I remember a young rookie reporter asking Kerry Packer why he didn’t own his own helicopter and his response ‘why would I do that, I already have full use of a helicopter (Channel 9) whenever I want. Ownership by another name. This move also serves as a reminder to Virgin that (a) QAN has the capacity to expand and (b) the most logical and easy source of plane capacity is now fully engaged. I think this move hollows out ACCC’s potential negative decision.
