Qantas today announced it had expanded its options over AQZ’s E190 from 14 to 18 aircraft. They also announced E190 would be used between Adelaide and Canberra:

Interesting that there was no announcement from AQZ today. Are we due for a trading update next week ahead of the end of the 30 June financial year?
At this rate, the 30 AQZ E190’s are going to find homes easily. Maybe Virgin Australia won’t fly the AQZ E190’s? Is this a deliberate ploy by QAN to limit Virgin’s ability to compete?
From what I can see, the on time performance of the E190’s on the Adelaide, Alice Springs, Darwin triangle over the last month hasn’t been that flash. Could be a variety of reasons for this (not necessarily under AQZ’s control) but it would appear this isn’t a major issue for QAN at this point.
