I empathise with shareholders who resent the % loss of the wilcherry project (have been there), and any unjustified fat salaries - but there could be good synergies here, johnnyd. The thing is AGS is not without money (much more than TYX), or experience. It was once in the ASX top 300 and it has board members who brought the succesful and profitable Tomingley Gold mine to production (ALK).
The JV involves shared costs according to equity (51:50) with the possibility of AGS investing up to 19.9% in TYX thus boosting the current $5m held in cash. It would seem to me that TYX's decision to concentrate on its flagship asset - jumbuck - is not a bad one, while still retaining 49% of Wilcherry's gold (weednana) and tin (zealous) et cetera potential. .. Just my interpretation as a holder of both TYX and AGS.
