Almond shipments from California for the last three months are down on the corresponding period from last year. This coincides with the continued strength in the almond price.
I note that imports of almonds to India, our main export destination, have grown over 50% in three years.
Also, almonds are increasing in popularity as a milk substitute and as a competitor to peanut butter as a spread.
