Alodokter was initially developed as a chatting platform with doctors. Having lived in Indonesia for a very long time, I can testify that Indonesians love to chat!
To chat with with a GP (or general doctor as they call it in Indonesia), it’s free. However, the platform charges a small fee (Rp35,000 or around AUD3.5) to chat with specialists. See screenshot below.
Another feature on Alodokter is to make an appointment (‘buat janji’). You can either choose to visit a doctor or have the doctor visit you. The fee ranges from Rp95,000-Rp600,000 (AUD9.5-AUD60). I had a look at the list of hospitals and it’s quite amazing. I think they have partnered with almost all hospitals in Indonesia. Some of the doctors are also quite well known. See screenshot below.
i’m not sure where Resapp will sit in the platform as Alodokter don’t seem to be offering virtual consultation at this stage. It may sit under the section called ‘Lab Test’ but this is done by making an appointment to visit the hospital. See screenshot below.
Will keep you updated once I know more.
