That is what most sensible people concluded as soon as the EV debacle was started. They are not practical for most people and probably never will be.

The problem is that those pushing their adoption are city people for whom they are of some use, but they have no empathy with others who live in other countries or country towns.

The UN is full of these sorts of people who are driven everywhere by chauffeurs and have no idea of how the plebs in their countries live.
