I was thinking the exact same things about location and magnetite from Tennant Creek they are taking the tailing from those 2 famous mines due what's in the tailings mainly not the magnetite.
Its close to rail and straight into Darwin Port and back to China for sorting. They want the Copper, Gold , Cobalt not the magnetite its just the bulk. Stupid thing is here we are stating we are looking to help America with its list of needs but we are agreeing to send it offshore for processing to the country that America says is holding the world to ransom on critical minerals.
This is where our federal government lacks direction and should step in now using the NAIF to build smelting facilities in the NT to account for all the tailings that are reclaimable for the Critical minerals involved. In this instance the cobalt.

The past three or four years of global copper production would cover it.
