My daughter lives at Bunya, on bank of South Pine River - just downstream from where Cedar Creek joins - godsown.

My paternal great grandfather had half share of the sawmill at Cooroy - maternal great grandfather was a timberman on the Maroochy river then selected on Montville (called Razorback then) - all before the gold at Gympie - timber was the only industry back then.

Country was mostly impenetrable scrub or palm forest - you needed the black fellers to show the tracks they had, and they did. Amazing stories of first contact.
The indigenous people's tracks were widened for horse, horse and cart and bullock teams, finally became the first roads for vehicles.

I'm sure we will meet at a conference or something someday - lots to talk about.
