Please Allens, don't tell me what I don't want to have.

I am more than happy to drive an EV, and I have said so a few times, but until they can do what my 20 yr old Falcon can do then I cannot see the point.

We have family hundreds of miles away and if we need to jump in the car at midnight to go there then we can easily do so.

And don't tell me that by buying a new EV that I am doing the right thing by the planet, 95% of any greenhouse gasses have already been accounted for with my old car.
I would feel like a dirty polluter by buying a new one.

Some parts of the world better suit EV's but not Oz.

I think that I have started a few people having second thoughts about the EV revolution.

There will still be a lot of demand for lithium with the number of Hybrids, and these will become more popular, but pure EV's, I don't think so.

Governments are not good at predicting markets, in fact they are bloody terrible, so we will see what happens as they are not just predicting but forcing the market.
This rarely ends well when they do that.

When we have cold weather then that is just weather.
When we have hot weather then that is global warming - sorry boiling!

I saw a stupid global warming proponent saying that the Great Barrier Reef is drying up because of global warming.
Besides the stupidity of such a statement I thought that the seas were going to rise because of global warming.
Do any of these people actually think about the situation or do they simply parrot the party line?

    Lockitt
