Alpha will progress (or be discarded for something better) because that's the point of the company. Attempting new projects is the point of the company.
GRV is the first ever to attempt bitumen. Everything before was gasoline.
GRV has been testing viability step by step for two years. They had two screw ups.... 1) oxidized samples when it should have been fresh. I suspect bad advice and 2) assuming they had bitumen when in fact its more complicated. I assume bad advice.
UoJ will describe a spectrum. If for whatever reason this test mix doesn't hit the viscosity/elasticity mark, they'll be a bunch of new suggestions that will and GRV will have to decide the cost/benefit merits.
If this test mix gets it right, Alpha's future is underwritten. UoJ was supremely confident going in, Mark was positive part way through. We wait with bated breath
