In case you missed it - the Qld Govt announced yesterday it will purchase the CopperString 2.0 electrical power transmission project in FNQ from private operators for $5b. This project is integral to GRV's Geothermal project planning.
From 09/08/2022 GRV announcement,
The Greenvale team will initially focus its geothermal efforts on the Millungera Basin, which is
not only one of the most highly prospective areas geologically in Australia for the discovery of
significant geothermal resources but also lies within the catchment of the $1.7 billion
CopperString 2.0 project, which will see remote parts of north-western Queensland connected
to existing power infrastructure in Townsville
I think Govt ownership of CopperString will be very positive for GRV especially because of Geothermal's green energy status. Shouldn't be too much trouble getting approvals - maybe a decent grant as well to cover the initial drilling cost !!
