The whole scenario reminds me of the way the West-Germans came over to the East after the fall of the Wall and promised heaven on Earth. Politicians lined up for the photo-shooting, development grants were promised and hardly ever received but if paid out mostly ended up in the scammers accounts somewhere in the Caribbean.

Even after more than 30 years the same scenario is still applied, the "saviours of the economy" mingle with the politicians. And investment funds investing is no guarantee either, German investors can be as easily tricked as the Aussies. If it is too good to be true ... then only sometimes it ends well.
