The 4th International Sodium Battery Symposium (SBS4) was held at Fraunhofer in Dresden last September.
Altech was there of course and many other companies, but this one caught my eye.

Limited information is available, but looks like they are ahead of Altech in some areas.
They received a Euro 8.7m Federal government grant in 2021.
From what I can tell their current capacity is limited at ~ 8000 cells per year, so more a niche market.
Altech's plant and future vision are orders of magnitude greater and only targeting grid storage.
I view this as a good thing as it builds awareness and acceptance of the technology.
