Yeah I asked about that.
They are using 'total cost of ownership' when comparing prices
by combining LIB:
- Higher upfront costs ( the 40~50%, but I agree that gap seems to be narrowing)
- Cooling and heating costs.
- Higher maintenance
- Lower lifespan
- Lower number of under warranty charging cycles per day ( one I think). Cerenergy is just over three full cycles per day and doesn't affect the warranty. (I'm pretty sure I have that right but will confirm later)
- Higher footprint as LIBs can't be stacked.
They seem very confident the project will be commercially attractive.
