Solidworks by Dassaults Systems is a leading 3D CAD software in the industry. Its main competitor is AutoCAD and CATIA (which is primarily used in Automotive). We've been taught Solidworks in the University and we use it in my current work. There is already a method to import 3D Solidworks model into the Altium PCB software to create 3D drawing of electrical parts like transistors, resistors, caps, etc. Integrating it into one software package streamlines the design and may make Altium a smarter choice in designing PCBs.
