As a newbie I would like to throw my uneducated assumption in. Without the huge debt weighing us down on paper this company would be golden. This debt however was needed to get this company into the position they are now so no need to debate the past. So we now have a company that is producing product with several agreements in place that without the debt burden would be able to ride out low volumes and low sentiment. For a big corporate company with liquid assets and cunning what would there motivation be to throw anyone a life line? Wouldn't it just be easier to position yourself to be in the box seat and just wait and see? In this world no one does anything just to be nice anymore. Help them out just enough to look like you care then when it falls in a heap swopp in pick up the scraps promote it as if you are the good Samaritan and pick up the golden goose for a song. I personally do not agree with this practice however it makes since to me.
