Here’s a retrospective, lifted from a Dragon_ev Twitter post today, to 2017. (I think February)
It highlights one reason Tianqi and ShanShan may not be the best of friends
But there’s an implication in the comment ShanShan did not proceed with the 2016 Ponce SQM purchase due to a Tianqi intervention. DYOR, but I feel the reason Mr Ponce retained (and for now still retains his near quarter percent of SQM was the timely change in government that washed away his/SqM’s 2016 legal problems over environmental issues and erroneous record keeping .


In regards ShanShan vs Tianqi, Tianqi was required to hand over around $11.5 million Australian dollars to ShanShan when it lost the case. The faulty lithium carbonate Tianqi supplied ( where from ?) obviously caused massive problems .
