In the past Alistair worked for Orica explosives so he did have this experience.
But as 2ic said, its hard rock. So drilling, blasting, crushing and milling is required and that's not cheap. The explosives also need to be carted a long way across borders and probably goes through Zimbabwe to Johannesburg.
