Ann: AMA Appoints Carl Bizon as CEO, page-9

There has been a lot of comments around the CEO. I like things simple so my take on it is;
1. I don't believe it was rushed as I think they tried to terminate the CEO last week so I guess they most likely had the new guy lined up.
2. I don't really care how much they pay the CEO as long as he delivers the goods. My preference is that the biggest part of his remuneration is aligned to driving shareholder value and not just lining his packets.
3. I can go either way with respect to an industry executive, however he is CEO not a guy on the tools. A good CEO surrounds himself with experts that he consults to come up with the best approach. He needs a good people management skills and good business sense sprinkled with strategic thinking.

Final perspective, the board has moved quickly, the business (so we are told) is performing well. Lets see what this guy can deliver. He was on the board so he should be able to hit the ground running and make some good initial moves!
