They should not have seen any gold I'd say. The assays will reveal all! There is no other way I believe.
It comes down to this imo:
1. Location. location, location - Kalgoorlie Terrane, an archaean section that has been a fabulous yielder of gold which if you check things out is still happening.
2. That by itself is all that is needed, but then add the Proterozoic influence of the Yerrida and Bryah and it might just get better.
3. Gold mineralisation at or near surface over a wide area and mainly oxide or secondary or supergene, whatever, which has to have migrated from somewhere not that far way. There are decent primary results already - Dec 20 2014 ann
4. Good assays of gold so far.
5. An IP anomaly very close to the better readings - see Leroy's pic above!
You'd have to think that a big mineralising system has fed this gold at or near surface over a wide area, so the ???? at present is whether or not the anomaly is that base source or is the head or top of the base source that has done this. It's a punt, but a good punt imo. The late 2014 RC results have already produced quite good assays in the primary zone but perhaps not in 'the anomaly primary zone'.
We wait and hope!
