I certainly encourage anyone to lodge a complaint with ASIC if they believe its warranted. I have in the past. Unfortunately they thank you for it and leave it at that. They won't tell you whether or not they are going to investigate or if there is any result etc. But don't be discouraged.

Also I would suggest you lodge one with the ASX as well. They are more open. If you raise their interest you may well see an announcement with questions they pose to the Company in regards to your complaint. You should also get a result back from them.

Having said the above, I unfortunately believe there is too little regulation/prosecution of companies. Some are pretty lax and when caught out say sorry, we forgot and it won't happen again.
