Looks to me like a monumental stuff-up by management. They announced last night that they had moved the ex-div date, but surely a company can't do that the night before the original ex-div date! Commsec page for ASZ clearly shows "XD" indicating the stock was trading ex-div today. I suspect that the ASX has contacted ASG today and said "you can't change the ex-div date so late", and told them to stop trading in their shares until the market is fully informed. Unbelievable but I suspect that is what has happened.
