The fixed component: 0.5c per half year to help with timing issues from an accounting perspective, provides a level of confidence for tax deductibility of debt. This is not at all about the amount, but the income provide to offset costs.
The variable component: They maintain their 60-100% dividend policy that is discretionary and based on business circumstances. Notably, it can be a share buyback or distribution.
