re: geffa....please read Kwami, the next trial will also be here in Australia, not overseas. TGA approval is acceptable for European approval. FDA approval will require a trial in the US.
Schultz, in regard to other 3rd generation lvad's, one of the big advantages VCR's has is it rotates at a considerably slower speed. If my memory is correct, something like 5000 rpm compared to 15000 rpm, thus causing less damage to the blood cells.
