Seems like retail shareholders in this thread seem disgruntled at management so might take a low-ball offer.
2 x current share price might not be such a low ball? 50%+ gain for some recent holders.
Institutional investors (big money) have a closer connection to management so likely to block any takeover thus protecting Toro from low ball offers.
The longer we stay at low SP the more strength a takeover bid has. It's almost 1 month VWAP since recent plunge into the 40s.
The acquiring company can point the finger as say look, no gains, bad decisions, we will come in and fix things up really quick. Especially an outfit like DYL with good reputation and the stark contrast to the VMY story.
That's my take anyway. Blue circle is the danger zone.
Let's just say I may have some experience in mergers and acquisitions.
