AMP held up quite well yesterday considering the market, I dare say next week the SP will rise further after having given local and foreign funds a chance to analyze the agreement. Of course this is all subject to APRA agreement (as I said earlier, shouldn't be a hurdle).

IMO this should give a considerable boost to Japanese and other Asian AMP aspirations and enforce or enhance their China Life affiliation.

Whats not mentioned is that an affiliation with Mitsubishi UFJ may also enhance AMP's future Bank asperations in turning the Big 4 into the Big 5.

One must give kudo's where kudo' is due, IMO AMP have done an amazing job of turning this company around over the last few years to the point where their future not only looks quite bright, but more importantly, quite profitable.
