they are starting from a low base and will probably achieve a 50% increase in mortgage loans, but it won't necessarily translate to an equivalent increase in bank capitalisation, that will depend on type of loan and risk profile (owner occupier or investor), bad debt ratios, and interest margins, but assuming the property market doesn't collapse, it will improve bank profits materially, another reason to be a long term investor (in addition to PMCo and North)
