Poor old AMP... announces the sale of its insurance business... shares tank. Announces it may not go ahead.. shares tank. It can't win ether way...
I think it's safe to say no announcement will translate into positive share price movement.
Seems to be a certain sign the shares are at the mercy of day traders who realise how fickle shareholders are in this company. It's even more evidence, in my opinion, there is considerable value in this stock for people who can look beyond the tag line AMPs name is mud. The same people who seemingly brush over the transgressions of every other major financial institution.
Then you have the royal commission which managed to only tarnish this company... the rest of the big banks seemingly Teflon coated.
Poor old AMP... the scapegoat for the finance industry.
I just hope the new board realise the immense potential this company has... for all long term holders sake.
