Squeaks, I truly am sorry to hear your sitting on a loss. It's really tough, not just financially, but sometimes mentally and physically challenging. I do hope you not only recover but profit

I began day trading and short term traded AMP this year but took positions recently and can see great value in this business. It will not be an easy run up and we may get hit a few times, perhaps even setting new lows. However once we have a concrete position on the insurance arm and a known figure for remediation costs, the ship will be sailing in a direction with clearer skies.

to say the run up or down will be by Christmas or a given date is not only ludicrous but possible insider trading, if someone knows something the market has not yet been informed.

the market will respond if the insurance sale proceeds and when costs to remediation become clearer. As to the wealth division, this will play out over years, not months.
