It is an interesting choice facing AMP. Do they return capital which seems to excite people or do they use this to acquire businesses that fit with where they see future growth in profit.
What they would buy is an interesting matter to consider.
a small bank?
a small wealth manager? Perpetual or IOOF? IOOF would be increasing exposure to advisers while perpetual would fit better with private banking strategy.
