Read the posts again, no threatening to sack people. THEY WILL SACK PEOPLE and implement a change in culture from the top down. That is the current strategy and future profit will arise from competent management.
That is how companies change, by clearing out the dead wood and re-establishing their brand. As for SP targets, I was highlighting the targets set for the new CEO, read into that whatever company value you want.
The market is based on perception and expectations and this process will lift that once they start ticking boxes. Part of that is removing the current stagnant structure. Its what the market is expecting.
Need an example go have a look at Santos and the changes that have happened from the top down in the last few years. SP has recovered quite nicely in the process. They sacked a LOT of C suite and even changed out the useless exec chairman.
The A team is in town and they're not taking prisoners. Once again this is exciting and shows the new general is in and bringing HIS war cabinet and removing the failures of the past.
The new go forward strategy will be revealed and implemented in time. It took decades to run down AMP, give the new guy and his team.at least a year or two to turn it around.
That's how it will positively impact perception (and price) of the organisation and rebuild the damaged brand..

Bottom line is market wants to see change in the organisation and first step is CUT THE ROT OUT which means clearing the decks.
That's how sacking the right management people adds value
