AMP share price very briefly upon original trading , from memory , achieved a price of between $40 to $45 dollars a share. Even though that price only lasted for a short time.
Then in recent years it traded roughly in the range $3.50 to $5.00.
Now it is sub $1.70 a share.
Its anyone’s guess where the bottom is.
I sold my AMP shares a good while back & hope existing shareholders can salvage an outcome satisfactory for them.
Even if you forget about the start share price range $40 to $45 one cannot come to any other conclusion other than this is a disgraceful outcome overseen by various board members and management.
Back in the early days of AMP demutualising did they not pay top money to an overseas CEO who brought with him a group of his henchmen who made some overseas purchases that proved to be disaster outs?
Not long after the CEO headed home .
Do your own research but I for one won’t touch this stock.
