It means that AMP is now more desperate to sell assets losing money. They will now accept even less for businesses that people have not been willing to pay enough for so far.
Great news!
And add to this that the insurance business they want to sell is losing more than anticipated even though it is 50% or so reinsured and it is even better news.
I am not sure that AMP understand the concept of irony. It is just a meaningless statement. Or a negative indicator.
