I'd actually engaged Aerometrex for some aerial photos a good 12 years ago, just before Nearmap started, and it actually was an area Nearmap had partially covered in NW Sydney, in 2009. It's a fiddly process and my take was that cause they have to recover the cost on that job, it's pricey and so the customer has to hone the resolution they need and area covered, so it seems many jobs would have higgeldy piggeldy output that is a pain to splice together. Also there'd be others in that market so it's got some competition. Best to take some Nearmap market share and those juicy operational margins. Dang! I own NEA as well!!!
