EV of approx $150/oz @ $1.85 starts bringing it back into a more reasonable valuation but still at top end versus peers.
There is a lot of potential with the tenements, but how does the market price this vs the implied sovereign risk (whether it's as serious as reported or not)?
Don't count on the insto theory to set a price floor. There were only 20m shares issued at $1.98, compared to prior placements below;
11.5m @ $0.18 13.3m @ $0.30 30.0m @ $0.55
So all these guys can potentially exit up to 55m shares right now at between 4x - 10x times money. A good return by any standard.
More speculatively, there is potentially an insto engaged to drive down the price for a Barrick, Newmont, IAMGOLD etc.. to start accumulating and launch a takeover bid at a deflated price. 100% theory on my part, but not out of question. Would expect disclosure in due course once certain thresholds are met if this was the case.
