It is currently Boeing who are putting us through the wringer not the FAA.
Once Boeing finally decide that there is no problem with corrosion, it will then be up to the FAA to grant final approval & having already approved the technology, the delay might be a little less than you might think.
From a share investing point of view, I see the Boeing approval more important than the FAA's as I see the latter's approval as a "fait accompli".
