Sorry Guys, my personal view is the timeline is BS!
We have gone through since March 2023 this year in anticipation of Boeing & FAA's acceptance of CVM for approval for the APB application.
Since March this year. That is 9 months of further testing. Pinch indicated that it would not be approved in the middle of the year due to Summer month's massive activity in flights. I take my hat off to Pinch, as I could not believe it would not have happened by now.
So if we are to believe the last 8 years it's all happening END of the Year!
2016
2017
2018
2019
2020
2021
2022
2023
What do you see in the above YEARS? It never happened! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeno%27s_paradoxes
And I quote:-
"Suppose Atalanta wishes to walk to the end of a path. Before she can get there, she must get halfway there. Before she can get halfway there, she must get a quarter of the way there. Before traveling a quarter, she must travel one-eighth; before an eighth, one-sixteenth; and so on"
The closer we get, the further the time scale moves away!
I will keep waiting but let's all be real here, nobody is happy with the continued moving time scale.
I am going to leave you all with this quote from Ross:- This is my interpretation so not word for word. I think this is what he said:-
"FAA/Boeing when it comes to "Maintenance" is that it's NOT about Safety BUT compliance!
Well if we go back to when T.C. got on the board about 2008, CVM sensor technology has been going through technology improvements ever since. Testing & Testing & Testing.......No failures as far as I am aware. If that is NOT improving compliance then what is?
In my opinion, it's not about CVM technology anymore it must be other factors at play, such as delays due to acceptance within the Aviation Industry.
In my opinion, this is the likely reason for the delay.
CVM Technology has fully passed all testing in my opinion only! End of Story. All the rest is just noise.
Now on a final NOTE, if we take Pinches last year's timetable then Boeing/FAA will be required to pass this technology before April/May otherwise we head into the massive flights summer months season. That means no approval until December 2024.
All my opinion only.
