As per another poster on stock SYR this advice is quite effective -
Trolls hate being ignored. Don't become their next victim by replying.
And of course the ignore button means you just don't get to see the garbage in the first place.
The poster you refer to is never going to post anything about SMN where you will learn something, so nothing is lost via the ignore process.
