On the big picture for Boeing, I believe there are more B737s flying worldwide than any other RPT aircraft, which surely means there’s likely to more, and increasing, elderly Boeings flying.
So prompt adoption of proven fatigue crack detection technology should be a no-brainer for any company concerned about flight safety and reputation - imho.
(An elderly Viscount 700 I did a heavy landing trial on at ETPS many years ago had a large visible main-spar crack visible pre-flight in a wheel well, whose growth was marked by pencilled dates. One that worried me had extended 3mm in a week, lol.)
