FYI,the JB Camira was a great success story for GMH in 1982,we started taking orders in 1981 and if you ordered one you were waiting at least 6 months for delivery,and would cop at least 2 prices rises by the time you got delivery and that engine 1.6 litre was fitted to millions of other manufacturers vehicles,Nissan,Daewoo,Chevys etc it was a huge launch by GMH used “We are the Champions” by Queen at the launch,l made plenty out of JB,JD,JE’s l worked at the largest Holden dealer in Australasia,Camiras were considered much better than the 4 cylinder VC ,VH Commodores……
