First you must seek permission from a HC higher authority poster or run the risk of adverse feedback, which as you have just experienced can be unjustly hostile.
Especially when the inference gets twisted as stating a) fact, or b) predicting the future.
IMO you did neither, as I interpreted it being in the category of, "Sure would be nice to have a sunny day tomorrow.".
Or have I grossly misinterpreted this;..
In any event, announcement category is not left to the author(s);...
