I agree in good disclosure practises. In fact, it is a requirement in the ASX listing rules.
However, it is only when there is something relevant to disclose. Simply saying “We are drilling still” is not a relevant update.
Results of assays are disclosure worthy and as it happens obligatory.
The timing of all of this is very unfortunate there is no denying that, but again, it comes down to investors having to take that risk. With most options for most companies, there is always going to be that last minute “Should I or shouldn’t I?” That is because usually, options are obtained very early and at a very minimal cost. So when timing is so close like now, deciding to spend that extra 1.5 cents per share can be all important for one’s portfolio.
For me, it was a no-brainer but we are all different, with different risk tolerances etc. etc.
