LOL... if the Chinese could set the price, do you really think it would have a 2 or a 3 in front of it?
New cheap supply is needed and the Chinese know it. They also know it will take time to get this supply producing. They will be looking to lock in a miner who has done their homework and can produce the required volumes at competitive pricing using proven techniques in exchange for financing capex.
They couldn't care less about the games being played with the share price.
